Friday the 13th Part 2

Well, you can tell it is October.  No, it is not autumn here, but all the scary movies are on.  Last night we watched Friday the 13th Part 2.  My 11 year old daughter is totally scared of horror movies but wants to watch them anyway.  We are trying to ease her in by letting her watch some of the hokey ones from the 80's.

The movie is actually pretty funny.  I have seen current TV shows that are scarier.  My daughter was scared through some of the parts, but she got over it.  We all kept laughing at the clothing and hair styles from the movie (it was made in 1981).  The kids were amazed at how short the men's shorts were...lol.  And the acting, I think iCarly has better acting in it.  I find it hilarious that we all thought those movies were scary when they came out.  Too Funny!

No scary flix for my kids. Too many sleepovers canceled midstream due to movie choice. They're a bunch of wimps, like their mom.

  2. Oh man, my oldest boy loves watching horror flicks with me. Actually, I believe the first one he watched with me was Jason X. One of our favorites to watch together is Part 3 with the 3D glasses on, though.

I hear some people freak out when I talk about letting him watch scary movies, but I just don't understand why. All of my friends and I grew up watching them from the time we were really small, and we turned out just fine! Well, for the most part hehe
