Walking at Turkey Creek Sanctuary

Just about every morning I have been walking at Turkey Creek Sanctuary.  I missed yesterday because of inclement weather, but cannot wait to get there today.  I used to take the kids there all the time when I was a stay-at-home mom and then continued to walk there when I was working from home.  I missed it while I was working full time, so it is nice to get back to it.

Since I have to drive my son to school every morning, I stop on my way home.  It is a good way to get my exercise in every morning since I walk about 3 miles.  Also, the paths are so tranquil and beautiful I really feel calm and centered when I walk there.  The walks really allow me time to think and commune with nature.  I imagine that I probably do my best thinking there.

  1. It's always nice to take a bit of time for yourself and enjoy nature. Even better when it's a beautiful area!

Suddenly losing a job is awful in the short term, especially in this economic climate. However, one benefit to it is that it forces a change. It's too easy for us to fall into a rut, and sometime it takes a big external change to effect a big internal change in our lives.

  2. You are absolutely right. I am looking for ways that I can improve my life right now. I am also getting a chance to read some books that may just do that.

  3. Absolutely love your photos. The second one reminds me of a Klimt painting (I think it's called The Forest).

Hope your thoughts are positive ones.
