I have been blogging now for about 4 months and I had been wondering all this time when I would start feeling like a blogger. My family writes it off as me just spending too much time on the computer and my "land" friends think that I am crazy (nothing new with that). They all think it is a hobby that I will forget about when the weather changes. In the meantime, they haven't even paid attention that my blog is growing.....
And now, I feel like a blogger. Why? You may ask. Well, this week everything seems to be unfolding at once. I got invited to do a review and giveaway (it involves hard work on my part), I got invited to do a guest post and I had someone else solicit me to be a guest on my blog. And in addition to all this, I seem to get new followers everyday.
All I gotta say is WOOOOHOOOOO!!!! I am a blogger! Yes, I know, a little over the top. So my next question is, when will I be considered a professional blogger? I am looking forward to that day.
Stay tuned for my pending giveaway, details are coming soon.
When did you start to feel like you were really a blogger?
Congratulations Michelle! So very happy for you!
ReplyDeleteMichelle - And you're off! Good for you! Keep working it girl. When the family finally recognizes your blog, that's when you've become a professional. (Mine never takes a peek at my blog!) ;)
ReplyDeleteHi – I’m following you from the hop. I’m hosting a weekend creation blog hop 28th jan onwards and hope you will get involved. It’s my first hop so I need support to get it going. Pop by wordsinsync.blogspot.com to link up. Many thanks – Shah. X
ReplyDeleteMichelle, Congrats on your blogging success!! You're a great writer with a unique point of view. Keep it up and there's no telling where it will take you:)
ReplyDeleteI love to blog. Don't know when or if I've ever officially felt like a blogger. It's just something I like to do to get my thoughts down and share my project with other who are interested. At one point I went a little blog crazy! I have about 5 public blogs and 15 private one. (CRAZY). Of course, most of them have fallen by the wayside.
Have a great day!
Cindy

Congrats on your giveaway! I think I felt like a blogger when I started getting comments from the same people regularly. I had an AUDIENCE!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! Today is my one year blog-o-versary and I haven't been asked to do a review...or a guest post...but I am having a giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI think I felt like a "real" blogger when other people started mentioning my blog...which was, like, yesterday.
Keep up the great work!
How exciting for you! And this made me really think. Because what defines us a blogger or, as you mention, a professional blogger. I'm guessing the latter has to do with earning money doing it. Yes? I felt like a blogger very early on, IMO. When I started getting comments. Lots of little milestones added excitement like my first award, which is probably "not professional" and my one and only guest post. I was contacted for my only giveaway after almost a year. I always wondered how that happens and how bloggers get on the radar of companies.
ReplyDeleteKaren and fojoy, I contacted MyBlogSpark and registered with them about a month ago and they are the one that set me up with the review/giveaway. You can find them at http://www.myblogspark.com/
